BENDIGO City FC will aim to capitalise on home-pitch advantage when it tackles Melbourne City in Saturday’s soccer clash at Epsom-Huntly Reserve.

The Bendigo line-up is on the rebound from a 1-0 loss on the Springvale White Eagles pitch in the 19thround of the National Premier League Victoria division one championship.

When these clubs last met, Melbourne City struck two goals in the final minutes to clinch a 3-2 victory at Epsom.

The Greg Thomas-coached Bendigo is eighth in the 10-team west division.

Melbourne City is fifth and has a ninth win in its sights.

Saturday’s action kicks off at 1.45pm when the under-20s do battle.

Bendigo scored a 3-0 victory in its latest hit-out against the White Eagles at Springvale.

The win was the fifth achieved by the Nathan Claridge-coached Bendigo City in this year’s under-20 championship race.
