After heading to the sheds at 1-all, All Stars dominated the scoring in the second half, making the most of their chances to win 6-1.

The match started well for Tigers when they received a free kick after a foul down their left side.

Matt Swindle’s pinpoint cross found a flying Shaun Bateson whose header was too strong for the Forbes keeper for a 1-0 lead.

All Stars thought they had levelled soon after, only to be denied by an offside flag.

Tichborne looked to have earned a penalty when Matt Swindle was brought down, only for the referee to decide it was just outside the box.

Tigers had broken through All Stars defence and Swindle was away before being fouled by the last defender who was lucky to stay on the park.

Jacob Townsend’s free kick hit the wall before All Stars cleared it away.

The visitors levelled after a free kick of their own was headed in for 1-all.

The second half saw the two sides enjoy different fortunes.

Both created many scoring chances with Forbes making the most of theirs while Tigers could not convert any.

Helped out by an uncharacteristic poor showing by the Tigers’ goalkeeper, All Stars scored two easy goals.

They also put together some good team play to score three excellent goals.

When the fulltime whistle blew, Forbes had secured a 6-1 victory.

Tigers’ Most Valuable Player went to Luke Allen.

Tichborne will hope to find their killer instinct when they travel to Forbes to take on Gunns’ this Sunday at 2pm.
